Natchez
The ‘Natchez’ Crape Myrtle is a fast-growing, white-flowering tree that grows to a mature height of about 30 feet. It thrives in full sun and fertile, well-draining soil, and is known for its beautiful white blooms, smooth exfoliating bark, and vibrant fall foliage.
Muskogee
The ‘Muskogee’ crepe myrtle is a large, fast-growing tree known for its showy lavender flowers, which bloom for a long period from summer to fall. It typically grows to be 15–25 feet tall and 15 feet wide, is highly tolerant of different soil types (including clay and alkaline), and prefers full sun. The tree is also noted for its attractive, exfoliating gray-brown bark and resistance to powdery mildew.
Tuscarora
The ‘Tuscarora’ crape myrtle is a medium-sized, vase-shaped tree known for its large, coral-Pink flowers and exfoliating cinnamon-brown bark. It typically grows to a mature height of 15–25 feet and a spread of 12–20 feet, tolerates full sun and well-drained soil, and has good resistance to powdery mildew.
Miss French
The “red Miss Frances” is a variety of crape myrtle, Lagerstroemia indica ‘Miss Frances’, known for its deep Red flowers, which bloom from late June into August. It is a cold-hardy, deciduous tree with a round, spreading growth habit that reaches 15–20 feet in height and width. Key features include lustrous green leaves, attractive gray-orange bark, and a high resistance to powdery mildew.
Miss Sandra
The “Miss Sandra” crape myrtle is a mid-sized, upright tree that grows to be 10–15 feet tall and 8–10 feet wide, with a growth rate of 2–3 feet per year. It is known for its large clusters of elite purple flowers that bloom from July to September and is cold-hardy in USDA Zones 7-9. This variety is a good choice for smaller spaces or as a focal point.
